There are only a few artists over the history of the medium that have gone on to become famous outside their chosen field and legends within it. To attain this level requires you to not only have the talent to create wonderful pictures or sculptures but also be able to make them come alive in front of the viewer. Maybe you have a classic car in the garage and would like to have a picture you can keep as a testimonial to its class and quality. Sure, you could take a photo – and probably already have. But by drawing you can really get under the skin of the subject and create something people will love to look at.

If you get to the point where you feel that your work may be good enough to show to other people, then you have got past the stage that trips up most amateur car artists. Enjoy the fact that you have this rare talent, and then you can decide whether you want to take it further or whether it will just be an enjoyable hobby.
